Planning a birthday, a family day out or a Friday with friends in Port Macquarie? We have everything you need under one roof, just 3.6km from the CBD, open 7 days a week.

You might remember us as Wave Bowl, and while the look has evolved into The Bowl PMQ, what we do hasn’t changed in over 23 years. We bring people together for the good times, and these days our own family, from the youngest to the oldest, is right here in the team with us.

That means 12 lanes of bowling, with ramps and bumpers so everyone can join in, Port Macquarie’s only exclusive-hire private karaoke room, electronic darts, two cocktail bars, a full restaurant menu, and our undercover, dog-friendly Terrace just a few steps away.

One place where everyone gets what they came for

Anyone who has organised a night out with family and friends knows how it goes: the kids are bored within the hour, the adults want a drink and a catch-up, and by the time you’ve found somewhere that suits everyone, you’ve run out of energy to plan it. That’s the problem The Bowl is set up to solve. Start with a game on our 12 lanes, then step up to the mic in our soundproof private karaoke room, with a 200-page songbook of Disney favourites and old classics. Electronic darts, with 3D graphics, automatic scoring and mini-games, keeps a first-timer and a regular on equal footing, and when it’s time to refuel there’s a full restaurant menu, daily specials, barista coffee and milkshakes.

Rain or shine, day or night

The lanes, karaoke room and darts are all indoors and the deck is undercover, so Port Macquarie’s changeable weather never gets a say. An afternoon might start with a kids’ birthday party on the lanes and end with friends settling in with a cocktail as the live music starts. Glow bowling runs on Friday and Saturday nights, and more than 10 leagues play here during the week, from social and competitive to junior and disability leagues.

Take it outside to The Terrace

When the indoor energy gets a bit loud, wander out to our undercover garden bar overlooking Stuarts Park, where greenery, picnic tables and fairy lights make it feel like a different place altogether. Order from the outdoor cocktail bar, catch live local music and stay as long as you like. The whole Terrace is dog-friendly, so your dog can join you on a lead until 5pm, and we host dog meet-ups every Sunday morning.

    Is The Bowl wheelchair and pram friendly?
